Post-LASIK ectasia is a progressive thinning of the cornea that can occur after LASIK surgery. It causes increasing blurry vision, halos, and glare that glasses cannot fix.
Book a Eye Test →LASIK removes corneal tissue. In some cases, the remaining cornea is too weak and begins to bulge forward — similar to keratoconus — causing severe irregular astigmatism.
Custom scleral lenses are designed to fit the post-LASIK corneal shape precisely. They provide clear, comfortable vision by creating a tear fluid reservoir over the irregular cornea.
